Hamburg is Germany’s biggest seaport and  the leading port for containerized and bulk cargo. As one of Europe’s leading container hub ports the Hamburg port offers shortest and fastest connections  from and to all economic centers in Germany, northern and eastern Europe, Austria and Switzerland  and best liner services to all places overseas.
The volume of seaborne cargo handled in Germany’s largest seaport is more than 120 million tons per year. With nearly 8 million container (TEU) handled per year container traffic is the main motor for growth.
